Biography
Siobhan Rowden was born in Scotland, and brought up in England. She comes from a large Irish family with four older brothers. Consequently, she is very competitive and unbeaten at table football, much to their annoyance.
As a child, Siobhan wanted to be a detective. She loved reading, and was a big Secret Seven fan. She and her best friend would search their village looking for adventure. Unfortunately, all they found was a car battery which they were convinced was about to blow up. It didn’t.
When she grew up Siobhan finally did have some adventures, working as a holiday rep in Greece, and at Disneyland in Florida, before returning home to study English at Middlesex University.
She eventually gave up on the idea of becoming a detective, and worked for a post production company in London for several years. Becoming a mum inspired her to start writing for children. The Curse of the Bogle’s Beard is her first novel.
Siobhan currently lives in Hove with her husband, three children and smelly cat. |
