Grab a book, share a book, write a book
We Are Writers is a unique opportunity for children to see their writing published in a real book. It is an incredible way to enthuse and excite any child about writing – and it costs absolutely nothing for a school to take part!
Start a We Are Writers book between 1 January and 31 May and get an introduction written by Julia Donaldson and an exclusive illustration for the front of your book by Axel Scheffler.
With We Are Writers, children of all ages and every ability can have the unique opportunity and motivating experience of seeing their writing published in a real book. Working on their book provides an opportunity to improve computer literacy as our user friendly website allows children to input their own work online, developing their confidence and competency throughout.
Producing your We Are Writers book encourages teamwork and inclusion allowing all children to get involved in their strongest areas and work collaboratively. Classes can write individual chapters of a whole class story, schools can choose their favourite themes, children can help with editing their own stories and those of their classmates or work together designing cover images.
